Rotor Bearing Technology and Software, Inc. (RBTS) is an engineering and consulting firm, specializing in rotating machinery and structural engineering. Our expertise is in the analysis/simulation of machinery rotor dynamics, bearings, bearing systems and seals.
RBTS has developed one of the most-advanced commercially available rotating machinery analysis software packages. Our customer base includes major corporations all over the world. Our software, Advanced Rotating Machinery Dynamics (ARMD) consists of several software modules that provide engineers with a comprehensive analysis of bearings, as well as the dynamics of rotating equipment. The current version of RBTS' ARMD software, written in C/C++, is functional under the Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000 and XP platforms. Our next release of this software, which contains numerous improvements to the user interface and enhanced graphical capabilities, is being developed to utilize Microsoft's .NET technologies. The software is being designed to function under all Windows operating systems running the .NET Framework (v. 1.1) and is primarily written in C#. Our long-range plan is to continually improve our software products, and develop new analytical and presentational applications to serve the needs of our current, and future, user base. |
| Position Description: |
RBTS is currently seeking an individual for permanent employment. Depending upon the applicant's skills/performance, there is a potential for advancement within our organization.
RBTS is looking for an experienced software engineer who can direct a small group of programmers in all aspects related to the development, deployment and maintenance of our engineering software. The individual who fills this position will be the primary software architect/developer, as well as a technical manager. Other job responsibilities will include the selection/maintenance of development tools, creation/revision of Windows help files and printed documentation, and assisting with other engineering project work. |
| Qualifications: |
· Programming experience using an object-oriented language (5+ years of experience)
· Software development project management experience (2+ years preferred) · .NET programming experience (2+ years preferred) - C# (desirable), or Visual Basic · Experience in selecting/maintaining development tools (3+ years of experience) · Working knowledge of .NET Framework, Windows API, Visual Studio.net, Source Control Software (recommended) · Excellent organization, communication and management skills |
